Garrett LaBar, Partner at Blue Field Capital

Garrett LaBar is a Partner at Blue Field Capital and leads acquisition efforts for the firm. He is responsible for sourcing new acquisitions, underwriting, due diligence, financing, and transaction management.

Prior to Blue Field Capital, Garrett served as Director of Acquisitions & Investments for a California-based multifamily investment firm. He oversaw the acquisition and capitalization of 31 properties totaling 7,400 units ($1.32 billion), as well as the successful disposition of 22 assets representing 5,400 units ($1.29 billion). As a key member of the executive team, Garrett was also responsible for all major asset management, refinance, and capital allocation decisions for the 10,000+ unit portfolio. Throughout his career in multifamily investments, Garrett has operated and transacted on property across the United States, from Florida to California.

Garrett also spent several years as a Director at Berkadia, where he focused on multifamily and commercial financing for institutional clients. At Berkadia, Garrett originated loans on behalf of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, as well as various national banks and life insurance companies.

Garrett holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from The University of Arizona.
